The Void

Do you too at times,

feel like you are stuck in a void?

It’s a strange feeling;

You are not sad, nothing bad has happened to you;

You aren’t depressed either;

Things are (relatively) going well.

But still,

you cannot understand what you exactly feel

and why you feel the way you feel.

And no matter the amount of social media, net streams,

you just don’t feel in the groove.

What do you do to get out of it?


I have found a simple solution,

which has let me believe,

that the ‘void’ occurs when we get detached from ourself.

And in that, we break our inner compass,

which is something that keeps us connected to the idea of our existence.

The “I AM”.

And all you need to do in order to reconnect

is Breathe!

Not the regular type of breathing which we all do automatically.

But really breathe and in that course register your-self by focussing on it.


Try it, the next time you hit the “void”

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing,

Just close your eyes, and notice your breathing.

The longer you do it, the calmer it will make you, reconnecting,

filling that void; reattaching you to you!
